Oh deviantART, how you confound me! I spend hours on two pictures of an orc and a goblin, which hardly get noticed, and half an hour on a My Little Pony. Guess which of the two got all of the comments and favorites. You guessed it! The ponies win out every time. I'm not complaining though, I'm glad when any of my drawings get any attention at all. To spread around the love a little, I tend to occasionally watch the front page and comment on whatever catches my eye. I've been on this site for seven years, most of those spent in hiatus. I've had only a handful of watchers, but these past few days there's been a sudden influx, and that's great.

Ever since I began drawing when I was around 18, I've done so only in bouts of inspiration. I will draw intensively for a few days, or weeks if I'm lucky, then not touch a pencil (other than to write) for several months at a time, maybe an entire year. I wish I had a way to remedy this tendency, so I could draw all year round, if only in limited amounts. It pleases me to realize, by the time my drawing period comes 'round, that despite not having practiced, I seem to have improved slightly with each pause.
